The Hero's Journey for Women - August 15-21, 2010
At certain times in our life, a woman is called towards a profound 'journey' filled with meaning and significance. This type of journey feels necessary to move forward with our lives in a new way, and is undertaken in order to bring forth the essential nature of who we truly are as women.
The Hero's Journey for Women is one of these journeys of significance. It is a life-altering and life-giving immersion into the ancient cycle of leaving home, experiencing adventure, joining with allies, challenging personal blocks and limiting belief systems, having new insights and outcomes, and celebrating renewed vitality - and then once again, returning home to integrate this new self into the world from which we came.
It is an alchemical process - designed to bring forth, strengthen, and unite our deep feminine and masculine selves. It is our belief, through lived experiences shared together, that entering into this way of journeying can re-awaken a place inside us - where every cell in our bodies says "yes" - and knows that this is exactly the way to be alive in the world; and that it is necessary to give yourself fully and completely over to the way of adventure in order to experience a transformation.
When we do this, Joseph Campbell said, "There is a track just waiting there for each of us, and once on it, doors will open that were not open before, and would not open for anyone else. Everything falls into it's place and nature itself joins in to support the journey". Campbell taught that we can access this inner state of rapture, that it is not "out there" somewhere.
The aim of the Hero's Journey for Women is to provide each participant with an inspiring and supportive team of facilitators, enriching personal adventures rooted in beautiful, nurturing wilderness settings, and a challenging, life-giving process of personal development and revitalization. You will be led by an international, culturally diverse team of facilitators and support staff. Our site is the Spruce Knob Mountain Center, surrounded by the Monongahela National Forest in the mountains of West Virginia.
The investment for this week long intensive is $1995.00
