If we wish to remain vital and generous throughout the whole of our lives, we come to realize that our response to the second half of our life must be true to what wants to live through us. The soul’s imperative to reclaim its one true life, and live it fully, inevitably breaks the horizon in one way or another. And its arrival will trouble even the most successful of outer lives until it is listened to and responded to with care…

The Sacred Manhood Project is a nine-month journey of spiritual inquiry, soul exploration and relational attunement that is offered for men who desire to faithfully follow the noble callings of self-remembrance and life-service that are the hallmarks of maturity in a man’s life… the arrival of Sacred Manhood.
We are a geographically widespread, yet intentionally focused community of men who practice living ordinary lives in an extraordinary way… a community of seekers dedicated to living fully into The Questions of our times and, indeed, of all times.
What are the transformative gifts that I bring to this life, to this planet and its peoples, at this time?
How might I live with integrity, joy and generative purpose in a world that is crying out for such gestures of the heart?

The four dimensions
of the Sacred Manhood Project process:
* MYSTERY SCHOOL DIMENSION
Developed primarily within our residential retreat work and via MP3 audio meditations that are sent periodically throughout the year. These meditations are intended to catalyze an experiential deepening within the sacred dimension of our lives and guide our practice of living "in the world, but not of the world”.
* CONSCIOUSNESS STUDY DIMENSION
Facilitated via assigned readings, poetry and shared dialogue, we encourage a reflective inquiry into the nature of conscious living and the development of awareness practices that support a more expansive understanding of the psychological and spiritual dimensions of the themes we are investigating.
* SELF REFLECTION DIMENSION
We are encouraged to reflect on how we have developed as men within, and beyond, our cultural conditioning. We look to deepen our recognition of the nobility of our unique life path, the recovery of the dreams we’ve placed in waiting, and the courage to walk in our own faith. This is addressed in all our work and reinforced through journal writing, written responses to questions posed on our private Forum website and via private consultations with Joseph Jastrab.
* COMMUNITY DIMENSION
How we
interact with one another is a reflection of how we interact with the world. What we bring into community is
magnified many fold. We will work
to bring an honest, respectful and courageous relationship to one another and
ourselves in all our arenas of interaction. Our fellowship will serve as a reflecting mirror of our
current relational response-ability, as an arena for developing greater
relational strengths, and also as a springboard for the expansion of our
individual and collective presence in the world community.
