The Hero's Journey Foundation Councils

The Hero's Council is a grassroots, ceremonial gathering of men that has been meeting in Pittsburgh for the past 15 years. Using the tradition of the talking stick council, the Hero's Council fosters the values of Wisdom, Compassion, Gratitude and Service.

The Hero's Council meets at the Nuin Center, in the Highland Park area of Pittsburgh, and offers a monthly ritual group which provides a safe, enlivening container for the four fold way of the hero's heart. Men from the Western Pennsylvania area who would like to experience this beautiful and courageous way of speaking the truth of lived experience from the recesses of one's own heart can simply show up at the door, or contact the the group's coordinator below. Men offer a small donation for this experience, and to cover the rental costs of the group space.

The Pittsburgh Hero's Council is stewarded by Thomas Douglas (at right), who can be contacted directly at twdoug@hotmail.com.

Please see our Calendar page for the monthly meeting dates.
