Urban Mountain Events - Walk Through Time

The Hero's Journey Foundation Presents:

A Walk Through Time- From Stardust to Us

Imagine taking a one-mile walk where every

step transports you a million years through time!

A Walk Through Time- From Stardust to Us takes you

on just such a journey.

The Hero's Journey exists in a much larger story...

Our one-mile-long "Walk Through Time" invites you on a cosmological journey across the five billion year evolution of life on earth.

Developed at Hewlett Packard Labs in conjunction with artists, evolutionary scientists and cosmologists, this beautiful and enlightening experience has been shown around the world- in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas- generating creative dialogue and deepening community wherever it is shown.

The gentle mile walk is laid out to scale with 90 artistic and informative panels illustrating the current scientific and cosmological understanding of life as it has unfolded from the formation of the solar system to the present. It offers a rich context for reflecting on humanity’s awakening relationship with the future of all life on earth.

The Walk Through Time is currently co-hosted at the Lifebridge Sanctuary in Rosendale, New York, and can be experienced during their Open Community Weekends: June 25-27th, July 2-4th, July 9-11th. For more information, click here.

About the Hero's Journey Foundation Urban Mountain Events:

Many people in today’s technologically dominated and ‘busy’ culture are hungry for a return to ancient and restorative communal celebrations and practices that restore a sense of awe, mystery and renewal to their daily lives, and yet often do not have the resources or the time available to retreat into rustic settings.

Therefore, the Hero’s Journey Foundation has decided to bring the mountain to the city offering the same processes that we would provide as part of an intensive weeklong wilderness experience, in the course of a day or an evening, in an urban setting. We call these events "Urban Mountain” journeys.
